Girls’ Night at Foxwoods Resort Casino: A Spontaneous Adventure

Yesterday was a pretty good day.

In between runs at work, I got some playground time in with my little one, which I always love. We ended up taking an impromptu trip to the casino with the 12-year-old and the 2-year-old. The drive down and back offers extra bonding space for the 12yo and I. Any bonding time I can add is welcome..I originally wanted to go to the beach since it’s not far from the casino, but by the time we left, it was already getting dark.

We kept it simple—walked around, did a little shopping, grabbed something to eat. The baby started getting upset at one point, so I gave her a sweet treat and that turned everything around real quick (definitely thinking it might be time to invest in a tablet for her 😅).

We ended up walking a ton, so at least we got some exercise in too.

I had planned on getting laundry done, but honestly, it took a backseat to just spending time with my kids. I’ll get to it today… hopefully 🤞🏽

Also, small but big win for me—I started taking some herbal supplements this past week, and for the first time in I don’t even know how long, I made it through the entire day without needing a nap. I was up at 5:30am and didn’t go to sleep until after 10pm.

That felt huge.
